Who are Boote Home for Cats?

Boote Home for Cats is a registered charity (No. 227795) based in Liverpool, dedicated to caring for and rehoming abandoned and stray cats since 1942.

How can I adopt a cat?

To adopt, call 0151 228 4336 between 8am - 8pm daily. Leave a message with your contact details; a volunteer will return your call to discuss the adoption process, which includes home vetting. Cats are delivered to approved homes.

What is the adoption fee?

The adoption fee is £110 per cat.

This helps towards neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worm treatments, a collar with an ID disc, and four weeks of free Petplan insurance.

Can I foster a cat?

Yes! Fostering helps cats to transition from the cattery to a permanent home.

Fosterers provide temporary care, and Boote covers veterinary expenses. Having a spare room and a car is beneficial.

How can I volunteer?

Volunteers are needed for cattery work, gardening, DIY, veterinary runs, cat homing, fostering, fundraising, and administrative tasks.

To apply, please complete our [Volunteers Form]

How can I donate?

Donations can be made in person at the Boote Home Monday to Saturday 10am to 1pm, online, by cheque, or through bank transfer.

Boote also accepts donations of items like bleach, washing-up liquid, kitchen towels, bin bags, kitten pouches, tinned adult food, scratching boards, and 2nd class stamps. Items can be dropped off at Boote Home Monday to Saturday, 10am – 1pm, or at Adams Vets branches in Wavertree and Fazakerley.
